Government Interference

As you know, one of the major planks in the national Republican platform is to "get the government off the backs of business." As is widely known among Republicans and their market-libertarian brethren, government regulations of industry are about 99% pointless and do nothing except add unnecessary paperwork and expense to the already hard and thankless job being done by honest, conscientious, hard-working, American  businesspeople. It's well-known among Republicans that businesses are—or would be, if the tyrannical government would leave them alone—sufficiently self-policing and self-regulating to insure public and environmental safety. THE MARKET KNOWS ALL and solves all problems, if only it were allowed to work.

Here's a good example of business policing and regulating itself, in a country that doesn't have strict regulations concerning the use of public highways along with bureaucrats and government agencies charged with enforcing those regulations.
