This is #3 in the series "What it means to be a Republican in the 21st century."
One of the most baffling things about Republicans these days is their willingness to be lied to, over and over and over again, and still believe the lying liars who are telling them lies.
"It's absolutely going to rain next week."
It doesn't rain.
"I told you it wasn't going to rain last week. It's going to rain next week."
Over and over and over again.
What kind of moron will believe a known liar? I just don't get it.
Below are statements of Donald Trump and authorized federal/Trump spokespeople on the state of the corona virus pandemic, plotted on a timed curve of new corona virus cases from 21 Feburary to 3 July.
So what we can conclude from this is that Republicans accept the fact that their leaders lie to them endlessly, but that's no reason not to believe them.
