I like the article because it so perfectly illustrates the meaning of the terms

• Conservatism
  
• Free Market / Market Forces
  
• Rugged Individualism
  
• Fiscal Responsibility
  
• Applied Capitalism

and how those terms indicate the core values and strongly held principles of the modern Republican Party which apply always, and absolutely, and resolutely—when we're talking about things YOU want the government to spend money on. But when we're talking about things that *I* want to spend government money on, then those terms and principles and values go out the window because they might inconveniently get in the way of what I actually want.
