Libertarians and Global Warming

The global warming that is not happening, and if it is happening was not caused by humans, and if it is happening and was caused by humans then it's not our fault or responsibility, and if it is happening and was caused by humans and is our fault and responsibility then we'll just let the market take care of the problem since that's the only possible remedy because all government is all bad all the time--have I got the libertarian position down pretty well?--has pretty well disrupted world-wide climatic patterns. Not entirely, not completely--it's still going to be cold in Chicago in the winter, at least most of the time--but traditional patterns are dissolving into a new climatic chaos where there is no normal.

Climatic models are not sufficiently accurate to predict how, how much and where the changes will occur and are occurring (unbelievably, some people choose to interpret the fact that climatic models are not more accurate as evidence climate change is not happening--see continuation of that thought in previous paragraph), so there's really no knowing where it's going to get colder and where it will get hotter, which areas will get more rainfall versus less, whether there are more typhoons/hurricanes or fewer, whether the Sahara grows or shrinks, or what happens.

But one thing is not surprising, and that is that at any given place on the planet at any given moment, the weather is more and more likely, as time goes by, to be further and further from any definition of "normal" that applied in the past.

------------------------------

I was listening to our public radio station yesterday and heard some woman propounding a theory that I figured you would like and use to support your various arguments summarized in the first paragraph above. She was an astrologer who claimed, and had written books on the subject supported with quotes and evidence from many cosmologists and theoretical physicists, that during the period from 1998 through 2012, Earth was in a particular configuration/alignment with the the galactic center which was causing changes both the consciousness of humans and the climatic on Earth. All of our personal problems and difficulties dealing with world and our emotions and relationships are the result of suppressed feelings due to a massive and world-wide trauma that occurred last time this alignment took place, 11,500 years ago. Now that the alignment is coming around again, Gaia is responding to the gravitational fluxuations by releasing human consciousness from its 11,500-year-old restraints, causing the earth to bulge at the equator, and returning the climatic to a warmer, more harmonious condition.

So there's another argument you libertarians can use to prove that humans are not responsible for global warming.
