Go McCain!

(Written the day after John McCain's primary triumph in New Hampshire)

If John McCain is elected president and begins his term on schedule, he will be 72 years and five months old, making him two years and six months older than the previously-oldest President of the US--who, by the way, was Ronald Reagan (69 years, 11 months). George Bush senior, at 64 years 7 months when he took office, was the fourth oldest president in history.

These facts--which have been probably taken out of context and distorted by the liberal media--do not conclusively prove that the essential principles of the Republican party over the last 30 years are old and worn-out ideas from previous eras that are completely out of place in the modern world, or that what Republicans want most in a president is a backwards-looking daddy figure who will make them feel safe and tell them what to do.

See Wikipedia for supporting data.

Perhaps Conservapedia has a comparable table that uses Biblical principles and creation science to prove that old is actually young.

I guess somebody woke up on the wrong side of bed this morning....

I don't actually have too much against McCain, aside from his age and position on the war in Iraq. He's certainly less repugnant than the other Republican choices.
