Q: What do Turkey and Canada have in common?

A: They are countries where a majority of the people believe strongly in the separation of church and state. They point to their neighboring countries (Iran and the US, respectively), look at each other with horror, and say "See what happens when religion and politics get mixed?"

Torture, spying on citizens, prison camps, kidnapping of foreign nationals, suspension of habeas corpus, a government that breaks any and all laws it wishes, invasions of other countries, the list is long and getting longer.

And then there's Iran.
