What you may not know is that many of the serious pro-guns rights people consider the NRA to be a political animal who caves a lot, and a very poor gun rights organization (and have for the 20 years I've been talking to them about it). NRA is disliked from both the left and the right for different reasons. I think the Second Amendment Foundation(SAF) and Jews for the Preservation of Firearms Ownership -- Never Again (JPFO) are MUCH more well liked organizations.
